On March 27, the online workshop "War&Sanctions: How to Counter Aggressor States" will be held by the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU) with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
Experts will teach participants how to use the War&Sanctions portal of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU)—the only resource in the world that publicly provides comprehensive information on sponsors and accomplices of Russian aggression against the civilized world.
Among the invited speakers are representatives of international public organizations, including United Against Nuclear Iran, C4ADS, and the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong Foundation, who will share their experience in countering aggressor states.
During the workshop, participants will learn:
- How to use the War&Sanctions portal, find information for their own investigations, and contribute to the database;
- How to investigate supply chains of goods for the military-industrial complex;
- How to advocate for sanctions at the international level even without direct government support;
- How to collaborate with civil society organizations in other countries to effectively turn information about aggressors into sanction decisions.
"The workshop will be useful for investigative journalists and civil society representatives who seek to accelerate victory through international sanctions pressure. The War&Sanctions portal is a tool of direct democracy that anyone can use to counter the aggressor—from spreading information to initiating new restrictions," notes Agiya Zagrebelska, Policy Director of the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU).
The workshop will be conducted in English.
To participate, you must complete the registration form and receive an invitation email from the organizers. For security and effectiveness, a limited number of participants will be verified. Those who successfully complete the training will receive certificates.
