“Japan has an effective system for screening foreign direct investment that allows to identify corrosive capital without creating barriers for bona fide business. This long-standing experience should be taken into account when developing national investment screening legislation in Ukraine,” Volodymyr Landa said during a conversation with Nozomu Yamashita, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine.
The Head of Investment Screening at the ESCU also expressed gratitude to Japan for its systemic support, which has been steadily increasing since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
