📻 Russia is lagging technologically by a quarter of a century. The industry institute VNIIR admits that more than half of radio electronics standards are over 25 years old. The average age of standards for equipment is 24 years, and for the component base — 17 years. Each year, the number of updated documents is 3–4 times lower than required, leading to an estimated technological lag of 20–25 years. Without urgent modernization of its regulatory framework, Russian electronics risk falling out of the global technology chain for good.

🇺🇸 The US Treasury has temporarily unblocked transactions related to Putin’s visit to Alaska. OFAC issued General License No. 125, valid until August 20, allowing payments for logistics, accommodation, security, and other expenses of the official Russian delegation. This applies exclusively to organizational transactions — it does not authorize unfreezing assets.

🇪🇺 The EU has started discussions on the 19th sanctions package, which could be approved ahead of the G7 summit in October. “As long as Russia has not agreed to a full and unconditional ceasefire, we should not even discuss any concessions,” said Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s foreign policy chief.
