While parliament is still finalizing the foreign direct investment screening bill, the Cabinet of Ministers has established an interagency commission.
"The document explicitly states that the commission is a temporary advisory body of the government. Its work is evidently intended to cover the period until the future FDI screening law comes into force — though this is not directly stated in the document. The commission is to be co-chaired by the Minister of Economy and the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council," writes Volodymyr Landa, Head of Investment Screening at the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU), for Ekonomichna Pravda.
