The Belarusian plant SVT, part of the Amkodor holding, has been exposed for fulfilling Russian military contracts, including maintenance of intercontinental missiles. According to BELPOL, in 2023 the company executed five contracts under Russia’s state defense order, and its engineers worked at facilities of the Strategic Missile Forces.
The German Navy has successfully completed tests of a 20 kW laser system, which is set to become a new component of the naval defense system against drones and small aerial threats. The system carried out over 100 live firings aboard the frigate Sachsen. The laser is designed to destroy small UAVs, missiles, boats, mines, and mortar shells, with each shot costing around $10—far cheaper than traditional missiles like the Patriot or RIM-161 SM-3. The system is expected to be deployed on Sachsen-class ships in the coming years, and could enter service with the German Navy by 2029.
KAMAZ PJSC posted a net loss of 29.1 billion rubles over the first nine months of 2025 — a 7.6-fold increase compared to last year. Revenue fell by 11%, gross profit dropped 2.9 times, while short-term liabilities rose to 261.6 billion rubles. Sales and other key metrics also declined sharply, with accounts payable surging to 178.3 billion rubles from 132 billion rubles at the beginning of the year.
