Agiya Zagrebelska has joined the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU) as Policy Director.
Agiya served as State Commissioner of the Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine from 2015 to 2019, and since December 2022, she has led the sanctions efforts at the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP). Under her leadership, the “International Sponsors of War” list gained global influence, causing reputational and financial losses for foreign companies that continued to operate in Russia despite the war.
At ESCU, Agiya will develop partnership networks on both national and international levels, strengthening collaboration with government institutions, the private sector, and civil society.
“My goal is to support and scale ESCU’s broad network of partnerships. Ukraine objectively has fewer resources than Russia. Therefore, we must carefully select our targets, collaborate effectively, synchronize efforts, and achieve more with fewer resources.
“Partnership, networking, data and product exchange, calibration, and focus will define sanctions policy in 2025.”
We are delighted to welcome Agiya to the ESCU team and look forward to sharing the results of our joint efforts soon.
